UIDAI allows cardholders with Aadhaar cardsto change their address, without needing documentation. Aadhaar cardholders are able to alter their address in the event that they do not have an identity proof.

New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India has temporarily suspended a vital service that allows you to modify the address of your Aadhaar card's address with no identity proof.

UIDAI lets the users of Aadhaar cards to change their address without needing any documentation. Aadhaar cardholders can change their address if they are able to consent to the authentication from the address verification. An address verifier can be a family member, friend, landlord or family member that allows the Aadhaar card holder to use their address to prove their identity.

UIDAI has now stopped this facility. UIDAI responds to an Aadhaar Card user by tweeting the ability to update the address on Aadhaar Card through an Address Validation Certificate has been removed. UIDAI has requested an Aadhaar issuer to remind users that they are able to change their address with another valid PoA document.

Dear Resident Please note that the addresses Validation Letter service has been discontinued until the end of time. Kindly request your address update using another valid PoA document from the list https://t.co/BeqUA0pkqL
